If you’ve never watched the television reality singing competition called “The Voice,” you’re missing out on some serious talent. At one time, “American Idol” was the most popular singing competition on TV, but “The Voice” has taken its rightful place at the top of the list and for a good reason.
The show has a unique format. Instead of judges watching the contestants take the stage and then perform, “The Voice” features a blind audition in which judges’ chairs are turned around so that they can not see the contestant. If they are impressed, then, and only then can they turn their chairs around and see who the voice belongs to. If they turn their chair around, then the contestant may choose that judge to be their mentor and to join their team for the duration of the competition.
“The Voice” has become popular all over the world, and there are many international versions of the show, including “The Voice Kids Ukraine.” When 10-year-old Daneliya Tulyeshova took the stage and sang Demi Lovato’s 2015 pop ballad “Stone Cold” the judges were more than impressed. The tiny little girl tackled the huge song and performed it like a professional. Within moments of her beginning to sing, every single judge had turned their chair around, hoping to have Daneliya on their team. Ultimately, the choice was up to her.
Little Daneliya is no stranger to singing competitions. Back in 2015, she was awarded a People’s Choice Award at a contest held in Crimea, Russia, following her win in a children’s music competition. She makes daring song choices, and this is what she has to say about it:
“When I was choosing the songs, the most important thing for me was that the song fits my voice and manner of performance … Friends inspire me to perform various songs,” she shared.
